Fund A Hero: Support the Platzner Family

Officer (and Marine Corps Veteran) Platzner, faithfully served the Richmond Police Department for over 18 years, and before that he served our country as an Artillery Specialist in the Marine Corps during Desert Storm. He was honorably discharged with an 80% service-connected disability. He also worked at the Livermore Laboratory as a Security Guard for 3 years. On September 26th, he passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack. In his memory, the Richmond Police Officers Association and PORAC have launched an official fundraiser to support our family during this difficult time:

2025 Veterans Day Program

Please join Livermore Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7265 and our Auxiliary on Veterans Day November 11th at the Livermore Veterans Building for an Armistice Day Remembrance starting at 1045 and Veterans Day Celebration at 11am. We will ring the bells of peace promptly at 11am. There will also be a Quilt of Valor presentation and free hot Dogs. Doors open at 10am with ceremonies starting at 1045.

Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.
